Some superstitious beliefs still play a vital part in people’s way of life in Thailand and some parts of the world. Under the shadow of mysterious events unexplained by any scientific method, people look for spiritual comfort and security from their religion side by side with their old superstitious beliefs. However, Thailand seems to be gaining greater global attention than the rest of her peers. Why is it so? This book will throw light on the issue from a Thai perspective. Even though the practice of superstitions in Thailand has already been mentioned by many in books and other online platforms, such information was mostly made available by foreigners. Thus, while some information is credible, others are inaccurate and distorting. Therefore, I decided to come forward and present what I had heard from my old folks and learned from credible Thai texts. Most, if not all, since information on superstition is available in Thai, non-Thai speakers may not clearly understand the rationales behind such practices. It may seem ridiculous among foreign visitors to see what Thai people everywhere practice. Most importantly, Thais are always happy with their age-old practice, and they never think it is a burden to them at all. On the contrary, without performing the rituals, people seem to have no confidence and are nervous about leading their lives.
