We might have gotten off on the wrong foot at first, but I hoped we would get closer and work together without any trouble. I had no idea if it was because wed gotten closer or not, but my heart seemed to skip more often.
I had to remind myself that you were simply kind to me because it was your job. That I should never think there was something more.
