This short story centers on situations during the COVID-19 outbreak in Thailand and the plight of a fictitious victim of this deadly infectious disease. Amid this devastating global pandemic, it seeks to pay tribute to healthcare workers. It also makes reference to the Four Brahmaviharas, which literally means “abodes of brahma.” Appropriate and right for extreme circumstances such as COVID-19, Brahmaviharas or a series of four Buddhist virtues should benefit people. Last but not least, it underlies commitment of the government and people to democratic rights.
