"So, there is really something between you and the Davids. The way I know those people, they won't going to stop until they get what they want."

Ms Selene said something that worried me more.

"Hmm, I'm not sure what to do anymore. I cannot allow my loved ones to be in danger, and I am very concerned about Justin and Jan's safety. I can't put their lives at jeopardy, and I can't risk yours either...hmmm *sob* *sob*."

I stated it through tears.

Ms Selene stopped me when she grasped my hand. I mean, she is not like this; she is not the kind to do things like grasp someone else's hand. As far as I know, she does not meddle with anyone's business, but today she came for me; she has a strong personality, which makes holding my hand feel really comfortable and secure.

It somehow relieves my anguish…

After making me feel better, she stands in front of me with crossed arms and stares directly at me, but her eyes indicate that she is thinking about something.

"Okay, next week we have a party to attend. The fifth member of the Elites Society is celebrating his birthday. I'm very sure Natasha will be there, so would you want to invert the situation?"

She asked genuinely, and I was a bit perplexed about reversing the scenario, but I knew she was thinking about something. I suppose she devised a plan for them, which I am not sure about, but the way I see her, it may not be good for Natasha.

"Just prepare for next week, and I will turn things around for you. You're terrified of her, which is understandable, but keep in mind that Natasha has flaws as well. Let's see how far she can go with her rude, filthy attitude!"

She said it honestly, and I could see the brilliance in her expression.

"Okay, ma'am. I'll arrange the outfit you'll wear as soon as possible."

I said.

"No, I can manage both that and the one you will be wearing. Simply prepare yourself, and everything will be alright."

She replied with a grin, eagerness written all over her face.
The way she behaves while thinking about her plan makes it sound like something to look forward to, and I'm excited to see how this plan will stop Natasha!

She was ready to depart when I sprang out of bed to pursue her. I almost struck my nose, but I couldn't help it. I held her back, placed my head on her, and muttered.

"Thank you, ma’am."

I whispered while embracing her. My heart is racing, and I can't stop myself from doing it!

I could see she was astonished by what I had done, and she gently turned around, bringing our faces an inch apart.

She glances into my eyes, making me want to gaze back at her. We're having a staring contest right now, and my heart is still racing. I'm not sure whether embracing her is a smart idea, but the way she looks at me, I don't see hatred, just desire. And I was stunned when she kissed me on the cheeks, nearly touching my lips. I was stoned in my posture, and my whole system abruptly halted. Her lips nearly brushed mine, which shocked me! Damn! I am genuinely blushing right now, and I'm not sure why!

"We are even now, and you are welcome."

She said that puzzled me.

"Even? What do you mean by "we are even," ma'am?

I asked tensely.

"They said that receiving and expressing 'thank you' for the first time is okay, but doing it repeatedly becomes tedious and loses its significance. So, to make things equal, even though I took a kiss from you, folks claimed it's a woman's treasure, so now we're even; no need to say thank you."

She explains it, which makes me flush even more; heck, I chuckled a bit inside.

She then left the room, leaving me with a reddened face, even though she essentially snatched my first kiss! I'm not sure, but I tend to like it, even if it's only a quick kiss on my cheeks.

God!!! All of my melancholy feelings were wiped away with that snatched, unexpected kiss!
