Kanfah, the grandson of a renowned healer in Mang City, had to travel with his companions to take care of some business in Wiang Assawa.
Along the way, he encountered Thayu, a mysterious man from the Southern State, who was investigating the teakwood trade.
By a twist of fate, Thayu was framed for the murder of a commissioner from Mong Pyu right in the heart of Wiang Assawa. He was then hunted by the real killer, who intended to silence him, hoping to spark a conflict between Mong Pyu and Wiang Assawa.
Kanfah saved Thayu from the venom of a Merng Mang spider, and they joined forces on the same journey.
However, this trip turned out to be far from ordinary.
The mysteries of the dead and the missing remained deeply suspicious, and those events were tied to the mission Thayu had come to investigate. They were also connected to the malevolent spirit, which devoured people who ventured into the forest, leaving no trace of their bodies.
Mon Muang Mang, a complex mountain range, was feared by those who dared to trespass. It was shrouded in mystery and death, earning it the ominous name given by outsiders as ‘Mon Merng Mang.’
