The patents registered by the author include domestic and international patents, 79 types of trade secrets related to agarwood (fragrant wood), trademarks, copyrights, geographical indications, Thai traditional knowledge, and production to international standards for the processing and export of agarwood. The focus is on establishing G.M.P./I.S.O/F.D.A./C.E. standards, as well as those of the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TIS) and the Chulalongkorn University Rector, in collaboration with Muslim academics from Thailand, Malaysia, and the Middle East, who supply raw materials to clients in the Middle East.
Today, it can be said that Thailand is the first country in the world to cultivate fragrant wood commercially. Currently, Thailand is the first country in Thailand and internationally to successfully register patents for the commercial research and development of agarwood (fragrant wood), with control over certain countries worldwide. Furthermore, Thailand is the first in the world to obtain a patent in the United States.
The author is the patent holder for agarwood, the owner of research and development work that is recognized by the global community, and the first in Thailand to patent a controlled technique for extracting oil from agarwood.
