Camera shutters clicked like machine guns. Alisa’s mind raced, preparing an elegant response to diffuse the situation, but the person beside her was faster.
"It’s true."
Alisa’s heart plummeted. She whipped her head around to look at the speaker in sheer shock as a collective murmur erupted through the room.
"It’s true that our companies are collaborating," Kan paused, sweeping her commanding gaze across the sea of reporters with a powerful smile, before casting her eyes down at Alisa.
"But if you’re asking whether we married for business... no…we married for love."
