Chao Khun Dech, the formidable commander and master of the magnificent Dechwan estate, had fought in a hundred battles and never once feared any enemy. Yet, he was forced to face a sinister peril that no edge of a blade could ever strike down, when a malevolent bound spirit imprinted a dark black handprint curse upon his body. The power of that curse caused the mighty commander's body to rapidly waste away, leaving even the senior royal physician helpless to cure his affliction.
However... on the very night death was about to claim Chao Khun Dech’s final breath, a young man appeared at the Dechwan estate. That was In, a village Dharma Shaman who arrived to save Chao Khun Dech from the brink of death. In’s arrival made Chao Khun Dech realize that he was bound to face a new battle—one that could never be decided by the sharpness of a sword.
