Main purpose of the book was to answer a very important question for mankind, "Will there be a nuclear war?"
It was a scientific study as inferences made in the book were based on reasoning and empirical data. The study covered the period up to the end of 2017.
The author who had substantial education background in Political Science spent more than three decades trying to answer the question. Eventually he realised that the factor of political and military tensions among nuclear power nations was not adequate to answer the question. Understanding the relevant nature of the universe was another important factor to analyse the causes and consequences of the nuclear war.
